World Nutella Day

February 5th is World Nutella Day!

What does that mean? After yesterday’s Fat Thursday gluttony, it means today is a day of indulging in gooey hazelnut-chocolate spread (or as they say at, it’s a day where “Nutella lovers unite for just one day”).

According to the official site, there are a variety of ways to celebrate today. This year, I think I will have one of these little guys:

Just one though. I swear!

For those that have never tried one of these, it’s a snack that has Nutella on one side and biscuit sticks on the other. The fun is taking a biscuit (or several) and dunking it/them into the pool of hazelnut-chocolate-goodness.

And for those who can’t eat Nutella because of a nut allergy, don’t fret! A quick search on the internet will lead you to a bunch of nut-free Nutella-like recipes. If anyone ventures out to try one, let me know how it goes.
