If you love bread and ever get a chance to visit San Francisco, I’m sure you will fall in love with Boudin Sourdough. They are a bakery and café joint, specifically specializing in making fresh sourdough bread.
The fancy thing about this place is that they mold their bread into a variety of shapes. They even have one for every day of the month, in case that special someone has a birthday or you need to find a unique gift:
They even have specialty soup bread bowls. This one in particular is the clam chowder.
I don’t know about you, but I find it’s always difficult to eat a soup in a bread bowl. Although it’s an “easy” clean up, it seems to be more about the novelty than anything. Despite this, the clam chowder was superb (and the bread)! It was creamy, it was thick and full of clams as it should. I just wished the chowder was bottomless!
