Poutine

Poutine equates to one mess of a dish. The classic poutine dish has French fries with cheese curds and gravy, but these days you can find unlimited variations.

This one is from Smokes Poutinerie. It’s the bacon cheeseburger, which has ground beef, cheese sauce, bacon, gravy and French fries. It’s also (unofficially) known as a heart attack in a box. My friend loves this version of the poutine, but it was just ok to me. It was a little too excessive in all the wrong ways. Maybe I’m old school, but I think I enjoy the classic version the best. It’s all about the squeaky cheese curds which you can find in our neighbouring province, Quebec!
