Word of the Day: Ravioli

Ravioli is a type of Italian pasta that can come in the shape of a square, rectangle or circle. It is similar to a dumpling in that the dough is stuffed with a filling. This filling can range from meats to vegetables to cheese or a combination of all three. It is often served in a sauce, but it can be served in a broth of soup as well. For a picture, see my entry on zucca ravioli.
