I went to a wedding where the bride was from the East Coast, so it was important for her to include bits and pieces of that incorporated into her wedding. She had a little light house, seafood and salt water taffy. It was cute because she was Caucasian and she was marrying a Chinese guy, so they had salt water taffy in little Chinese takeout boxes with their names on it as favours for their guests. A good way to meld the two cultures together. 🙂
Salt water taffy is sticky, sweet candy that melts in your mouth. It’s kind of marshmallow-like and comes in a myriad of colours and numerous flavours like strawberry, lemon, watrermelon, banana, etc.
Growing up, I never really got to eat these because my mom usually avoided giving us any sweets but I’m sure many children (and adults) enjoy these chewy sweets. The best ones are fresh, soft and chewy. 🙂
