Chicken Pasta with Broccoli and Mushroom Sauce (Recipe)

Pasta is always a great go-to recipe for many people. The ingredients are normally really easy to find and it’s pretty versatile. You can add almost anything into it. Today I’m sharing a chicken and mushroom sauce pasta recipe. 🙂

Chicken pasta with broccoli and mushroom sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 package of linguini, spaghetti or fettuccini pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 onion, cut into small slices
  • 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into small strips
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning

First, cook the pasta according to the package and strain. Then, wash the broccoli and cut into florets. Bring a new pot of water to boil and cook the broccoli for about 3-4 minutes and strain. Set both aside.

Cut broccoli heads into small florets

In a heated pan, add the butter and then the onions. Let them carmelize before adding the chicken. Cook until the chicken is done and then add the remaining ingredients to create the sauce. Stir and then add the cooked pasta and broccoli. Mix well until it is thoroughly heated. Serve.

    Easy peasy pasta

I originally added way too much pasta which is why I reduced it in the recipe above. I would also add fresh mushrooms and some minced garlic next time. However, it was still delicious. You can’t go wrong with pasta. Bon appetito! 🙂
