Pretzel Bites (Recipe)

A coworker of mine told me that there’s a really easy recipe for holiday parties that she saw on the Internet. She said all you need is waffle pretzels, Hersheys Kisses and M&Ms. So, I went to a local bulk store and bought these ingredients. Except, instead of Kisses I bought Hershey’s Hugs because they have a more visually appealing look to them. The amount you need for each ingredient depends on how many you want to make. For example, if you want to make 50 pieces, you need 50 waffle pretzels, 50 Hersheys Hugs (or Kisses), and 50 M&Ms.

To make these, all you need to do is line a cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper and spread a bunch of waffle pretzels on the sheet. Unwrap the foil off of each Hug and put one on top of each pretzel. Put the cookie sheet into the oven at 350ºF and bake for a few minutes until the chocolate is soft enough to adhere an M&M onto it but not melted to the point where it loses its shape and seeps underneath the pretzel. Then, take the cookie sheet out of the oven and quickly add an M&M on top, lightly pushing it into the melted chocolate. Easy peasy, right? It’s a cute little treat that is appealing to the sweet and savoury lovers. It’s also pretty festive if you use green and red M&Ms like I did. Enjoy! 🙂
